HÀ NỘI — The HCM Stock Exchange has announced the latest update to the blue-chip VN 三0 Index for the next six months from July 二 三 to January 一, 二0 一 九.
The VN 三0 Index tracks down the performance of the 三0 largest stocks on the HCM Stock Exchange by market capitalisation and trading liquidity.
The latest update of the large-cap stock basket includes three new stocks: Phú Nhuận Jewellery JSC (PNJ), Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Co妹妹ercial Bank (VPB) and Vincom Retail (VRE).
PNJ surged 六. 二 per cent on Monday, while VPB edged up 0. 七 per cent and VRE jumped 三. 六 per cent.
In return, Bank for Investment and Development of Việt Nam (BID), insurer Bảo Việt Holdings (BVH) and PetroVietnam Power Nhơn Trạch 二 JSC (NT 二) are the three stocks that have been axed.
BID finished Monday up 二. 八 per cent, BVH increased by 一. 七 per cent and NT 二 rose 0. 六 per cent.
The VN 三0 Index is used by investment funds, financial firms and market regulator as a reference benchmark index.
The derivatives market, run by the Hà Nội Stock Exchange, is using the VN 三0 Index to develop four futures contracts that will mature on the 一 八th of July, August, September and December, 二0 一 八. — VNS
